What’s next for Calgary’s bars?

Bar stool chairs are popular in Calgary bars, but they have also been a contentious issue for decades.

(CBC News)The bars on the city’s west side are now taking a stand against bar stool chairs and the chairs have been banned in Calgary since 2016.

The city is asking the public to take part in an online survey to get feedback on whether the chairs should remain on the tables, and if so, what kind of changes they want to see.

The survey will be available on Thursday at 5 p.m. local time.

If the survey is approved, Barstool chair owners will have until Sept. 30 to get rid of the chairs.

The chair owners can get more information at calgarybarstools.com/survey.
