Trump defends his tax cuts as ‘unbelievable’

Donald Trump says he’s “very proud” of his tax plan, which would cut the corporate tax rate from 35% to 20% and slash the corporate rate from 15% to 10%.

Trump said on Sunday that he’s been receiving a lot of “love” for the plan.

“I am very proud of what we’re doing,” he told Fox News’ Sean Hannity.

“It’s unbelievably fair, it’s fair.

We have a very small company.

We’re saving the American taxpayer $2 trillion.”

Trump said he wants to give a “much bigger cut” to the wealthy and lower taxes for the middle class, “which is a lot for a president to say.”

But, he added, the plan “is not a giveaway.”

“It’s a fair cut for the wealthy,” Trump said.

“We’re lowering the top tax rate.

We’ve cut taxes for millions of middle class families.”

The Trump campaign says the tax cuts would reduce federal revenue by $4 trillion over the next decade.

The Republican Party has long said it wants to cut taxes, but has not been able to find consensus among its members on how to do it.
